On this downtown walking tour, you’ll experience the city alongside expert guides from the Centre for Cities at the University of Windsor, who bring local insight and context to Windsor’s small businesses and community initiatives. Along the way, you’ll hear from residents and local leaders working to shape the city’s future. This tour is designed to help participants understand how Windsor’s history has shaped the city of today, connect with what’s happening now, and feel more confident engaging in cross-border opportunities.

Weather Policy:

Tours will occur indefinitely, rain or shine, unless weather prohibits transportation or adversely affects our partners on the date of the tour for the time of the tour. Weather related cancellation or ticket transfer requests will not be approved unless submitted at least 72 hours in advance of the event start time. If a severe weather event causes the tour to be canceled, City Institute will offer to transfer participant tickets to another date or provide a refund.

Parking: Metered On/Off Street Parking is available nearby and payment is by coin ($0.25, $1.00, $2.00), token, or the Passport Parking Canada App with parking free after 6pm. Additionally, structure parking is available just up the street at 440 Pelissier St, Windsor, ON. Travelers from Detroit can opt to take the The Linq Windsor Tunnel bus if preferred with more info available here.
